NEWS: 'Catching Fire' reportedly filming in New Jersey State Park
Jennifer Lawrence herself spilled early this month that filming for The Hunger Games sequel, Catching Fire is quite not done yet, as opposed to the reported December wrap up date. Interestingly, a new report about filming for Catching Fire has surfaced online. NewJersey.com is reporting that Catching Fire is shooting for two days in Ringwood State Park in northern New Jersey.
Film crews are shooting footage Friday morning for the second day inRingwood State Park, officials said. The scenes are reportedly for the sequel to the “The Hunger Games.”
Larry Ragonese, a spokesman for the state Department of Environmental Protection, said on Thursday that the state film commission gave approval for GSX Productions to film in the park for two days this week.
A source with knowledge of the production confirmed that crews were filming scenes for the highly anticipated sequel, “The Hunger Games: Catching Fire.” It’s not known whether the star of the series Jennifer Lawrence was inOakland for the scenes.
About a half dozen semi trailers unloading tripods and other equipment have been seen near the entrances to Ringwood State Park. The vehicles have occasionally caused a backup of traffic on Skyline Drive.
Park security would not allow a Record photographer to get close to the set.
