REPORT: Full-length Trailer For 'The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1' WILL NOT Be Released On Wednesday, 9/10

Well, our hopes and dreams for 9/10 have just been shattered. Lionsgate released the first poster for The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1 featuring our Mockingjay - Katniss Everdeen yesterday September 5th. The poster came with a caption "Our Leader The Mockingjay Arrives On 9/10," seemingly teasing fans that the long-awaited full-length trailer for Mockingjay Part 1 might finally be having its official release (or worldwide online debut) this coming Wednesday. Well, we're sorry to say that that might not be what we're getting on Wednesday after all.

Lionsgate used their social media accounts today to announce that the final poster for The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1 is actually what's going to be released on 9/10/14, not the full-length trailer. The posts have now been deleted, but our friends at Jabberjays were able to get a screenshot of the Facebook post.

The Maze Runner, another YA book-to-film adaptation, will be opening in theaters on September 19th. We here at TheHungerGamers.net are still assuming that the full-length trailer for Mockingjay Part 1 would be attached to its premiere. So even if we don't get a trailer next week, it's likely to be released in the next few weeks. The wait continues...
