NEWS: Blu-ray & DVD Release Date for 'The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1' REVEALED!

UPDATE (01/17/2015): A slip from Wal-Mart has surfaced online, indicating that the Blu-ray and DVD for The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1 are planned to be released on March 6, 2015 in the United States. So far, this is the most credible source about the release date of the Blu-ray/DVD for the film. However, please consider this a rumor until Lionsgate confirms anything. Previous release date reports have not changed. But we honestly think Wal-Mart's release date of March 6 is more likely to be correct than DVDWorldUSA's reported February 24th release date.

If you're like us, you probably cannot wait to have your own copy of The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1 so you can comfortably binge watch all three films over and over again on your couch at home as we all wait for the release of the last film in The Hunger Games franchise next November. Well, here's some good news Tributes! We now finally have a date to countdown to.
Online retailer DVDWorldUSA has revealed that Mockingjay Part 1 is planned to be released on February 24, 2015 in the United States. iTunesUK, on the other hand, lists the film to be released digitally in the UK on March 16, 2015.
Although these retailers are credible and these release dates make complete sense, since the Catching Fire DVD/Blu-ray was released around the same time of the year this year (March 7, 2014), Lionsgate has yet to confirm anything. But as always, we'll update this post once we hear anything official. Perhaps Mockingjay Part 2's promotion start date has something to do with this decision to release Mockingjay Part 1 on DVD/Blu-ray early? We sure hope so.
